On October 7, 2014, MAHFH joined with housing advocates around the world to advocate for safe, decent and affordable housing. Over 100 participants gathered at Southside Community Church to dedicate the homes of three partner families. This event brought sponsors, volunteers, community leaders, residents and homeowners together to celebrate this milestone and to renew their commitment to work towards the day that no child of God will awaken in substandard housing.

Reading that sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders all gathered at Southside Community Church to dedicate these three homes really shows how housing takes a village. The commitment to ensuring no child of God awakens in substandard housing is something that has stayed with me all day. A friend shared a piece from word to md about grassroots affordable housing recently, and now I’m wondering what MAHFH needs most from the public to keep this momentum going—time, donations, or supplies?

If you ever need to strip those tags before posting, Remove AI Label on TikTok works right in the browser without uploading your files.
